Have you heard of Shape Sioux Falls? It's not a new local diet plan.

From siouxfalls.org - "Shape Sioux Falls is a community-wide visioning initiative to help determine the City’s land use development standards." - http://www.siouxfalls.org/Planning/shape_sioux_falls.aspx

From keloland.com - "Sioux Falls city planners are looking for input from the community about what they want things to look like in the future." - http://www.keloland.com/News/NewsDetail6371.cfm?Id=0,67004

Hmmm...this would seem to be one of those opportunities organizations like ours crave.

Here are the opportunities to participate:
Tuesday, March 4, Ronning Library, 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, March 13, East Side Lutheran, 12:00 p.m.
Thursday, March 20, Human Services Building 12:00 p.m.
Thursday, March 20, Central Baptist Church, 5:30 p.m.

...or you can do the survey online - but if you do, please don't miss the irony of participating in a community activity without leaving your chair.

Anybody want to try to put a group ride to Central Baptist Church on Thursday March 20? Sound off here.

I left my PDA and my dayplanner at work so I can't commit until I check it.   Huh
Nah, I don't remember any of my appointments, that's what I have a PDA and
dayplanner for!

The Central meeting is this week. The closest logical place to meet would be Yankton Trail Park and roll Old Yankton Trail Road up to Ralph Rogers.

Another nice meeting point could be downtown.

Yankton Trail Park at 5:10pm.

Downtown at 4:50pm?

3100 W. Ralph Rogers Road
I am still not sure I can make this one... If I do I will probably have to drive.
The snow has depressed me so that I don't even want to think of riding.
Well, not quite that bad, but , snow... I', just sayin.

I'm a few days late on this one, but here it is...the result will be public tomorrow...

From http://www.siouxfalls.org/News/2008/May/09/ssf_survey_results:

Title: Visual Listening Survey Results to be Presented May 15

During the month of March, almost 1,500 people completed a Visual Listening Survey.

Come and find out the results of this survey and see how it will help “Shape Sioux Falls.” The public is invited to attend this meeting on Thursday, May 15, 2008, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Orpheum Theater Center (Anne Zabel Theater). Full results of the survey will also be posted at www.siouxfalls.org after the public meeting.

Shape Sioux Falls is a community-wide visioning initiative to help determine the City’s land use development standards.

The objective is to define the vision for the future development of the City as a part of the planned update of the comprehensive plan. These land use design standards will then be incorporated into the City’s planned update of the zoning ordinance.
