The third annual Falls Area Bicyclists Ride And Dine will be Saturday, July 11th starting and ending in Cherry Rock Park in Sioux Falls, SD and is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever!
The ride offers cyclists of all ability levels the chance to socialize and cycle around Sioux Falls. Two route options are available: 30 miles and 60 miles. The 60 mile ride includes some hills as we ride toward Inwood, IA.
The road rides will be supported with a SAG vehicle, there will be a couple convenience stores on the route and dozens of cyclists. We hope for a couple hundred cyclists.
Cherry Rock Park is on the Sioux Falls Recreational Trail, making it convenient to plan shorter rides of any length. Enjoy the scenery of the trail and return as you wish or take the whole loop for a total of about 20 miles.
Whatever your route, plan to be back at the park between 11:30 and 1:30 for a picnic lunch provided by none other than Bob's Carryout & Delivery. You'll enjoy Broasted chicken, pulled pork sandwiches and an assortment of side dishes. Those of you familiar with this Sioux Falls classic know what a treat this is. For more info on Bob's, check out www.bobscarryout.com where the chicken is always "cluckin' good!"
As if this weren't enough, the whole deal will be rounded out with live music from a terrific local band. Keep an eye on the website for further details.
